Get to know the island Tussøya and the northern Norwegian coastal culture.
At the boat engine museum we get to experience the many old engines, and at the same time get some good stories from a long life on the island. In the old post office building, a collection of cultural-historical objects originating on Tussøya and in the surrounding area is displayed. A little further north, a farm building from the Iron Age was excavated in the 1970s.
About the trips
We start the trip at Lauklines, an old trading post and fish factory. After a short boat trip in spectacular sourroundings we arrive the quiet and peaceful island Tussøya. The island has been inhabited since the Iron Age and was previously important for trade in the area, but today only a handful of people live there. On the island we will visit the boat engine museum and meet Ragnvald who has lived all his life on the island. You will also be served a hot soup and a traditional dessert from the area.

We will start the trip with a safety briefing, and we ensure you dress properly for the conditions with suitable flotation suits, boots, hat and gloves.
